We have just finished reading the novel, Dexter the Tough. This is a nominee for the 2009 William Allen White Award. Let me know what you think about the novel? Is this a good nominee? Dexter the tough is a awesome book my favorite character is Dexter!
In my opinion Dexter the tough is a
funny but also sad book.I realy liked it and i think that a lot of my peers would like it. When we were reading this book I was making connections to my own life because last year on September 11 my grandmother died from cancer.
I think that Dexter The Tough is a very good Book I think it just mite win. When I first day at school was a lot beter than Dexter

I think that Dexter the Tough was all right but it could of been better. I think it might not win beacause not very many people iv'e talked to like it that much. I think kids in a younger age group would like it but mostly boys my age. It is an all right nominee because I think mostly boys would like it. I can kind of connect because my dad was sick once and kind of felt bad.

I think that Dexter the tough was a very good book that every one should read. The book is a great book because it has a great egsample of how to make new friends.
I didnt think I would like dexter the tough but then I started to like it so you should really readthis book.
I liked Dexter the tough it was funny and sad.I would tell you if icould its really good and i think my friends would like it,Also its a book bacically about friendship this book shows some pretty good frienship in about the third to fourth chapter its a really good book".If you are new and need a book about frienship this is a book for you".Also if you just want a book about friends get that book.I also think if you read it you will have connections to it like i did".Its a really nice book so if you interested in the book go to a library now.
Dexter the Tough was a good book and I would recommend this book to other readers cause they would probaly have a blast reading this one in a lifetime book.I think it would be good book to read over the summer.Now that youv'e read this book I think that my little sister will like when she's old enough to read it.
dexter the tough was about a boy whos dad had cancer and he had to switch schools and on his first day he slipped on the floor and he got mad ithink you should read this book and find out for yourself.

In dexter the tough i think it was a good book my favorite character is the teacher,dexter,and robin it is sad that dexter's dad got sick. Also i like the last sentans i will never hit a kid again.
my other opinion is that it could use a few changes like naming the kids that laughed at him
