During reading class, we are working on building stamina during our independent reading time. We are currently up to 20 minutes. Why do you think that it's important to be able to build stamina while you are reading independently? I have been keeping a journal of the books each of you have been reading and am noticing that some of you are changing books quite often. Starting at the new nine weeks, I will be holding reading conferences with you to discuss some of your strategies during reading and you will be setting reading goals as well. Tell me, what have you been reading during this time? What is one thing that you can make a connection with as you are reading your current book?

i actutly wanting to read more so i can finish the fablehaven seires and it will help us in college so when we have to read like huge things for book reaports and stuff
because if we have a job that enquires alot of reading.i can make a connection to the book i am reading beacause i love baseball.the book i am reading is heat
independent reading is fun.Because you can read any book.I like it a lot!
It is important to build stamina for adulthood. When we are reading silently we can really build stamina. If we practice enough I hope we can reach our goal of 45 minutes.
i am reading the vampire mystery.
Right now I am reading a book called the cross roads. I have not made any connections yet . I think its important because you can start reading longer and finishing books faster.
I think its important because so that you can get better at reading higher level.I have been reading this book called a knight for a day.I really don't have any connections so far.
I have been reading the great Gilly Hopkins.I can make a connection with Gilly.She reminds me of being 5 years old.All ways being bad.
I try to read something different ever day and I like reading funny or acktion packed mostly.
i'm reading a book called no talking.It is about a boy named dave and a girl named lynsey.dave said that girls talk to much and lynsey said i bet girls can go longer without talking than boys so they go 2 days without talking not even at home so none of the fifth graders are talking and so far the girls are in the lead.
so you can stay in one spot for a long time and read. yes i love to read independently. l am kinda out going like him but i also have a soft side.
I am reading abook called Feaver ,and Undead and Unenployed they are both very good. It is good to build stamina because it will help in the future.

2.I have been reading Love, Stargirl it is very good so far.

I am reading the seems. It is about a 12 year old boy named Becker Drane. When becker was nine years old he was at this cafe at the cafe there is this place where people can put adds and stuff. Becker looked over to that place and saw a sign that said [Apply here for the best job in the world!] As any normal kid would do he went over to check it out it was asking questions like ever feel like there is something more to life you will need to find out the rest for yourself.
I am reading Harry potter and Harry Potter and his freinds are in front of a burnt house and there is a werd woman and she asked to come in.
I'm reading a book called ghostsitters and the two main charaters are Wanda and Armatia.There aunt is leavind and they stay home.It is a spooky book and it is halloween.
because if we have a job that requires reading some uf us don't pay attention and i can make a connection with fablehaven 3 because there is a kid named gavin as main character.
I been reading a friendship for today.A connection I made is that a girl's teacher was moving away and my teacher move to.
I like reading its fun so far im reading a funny book about weenies its pretty funny im close to finishing it any way independet reading is about being quite and reding I like i think its fun but i dont like that we have to be quite.
