Another year of OSCAR Reading Groups are now over, and you are ready to move on to the next year of your schooling at the middle school. Regarding your 5th grade OSCAR experience, what are thoughts? Did you like the novels that we read during our literature circle times and are there some that we should skip for next year? What did you think about the read alouds that we had this year, did you enjoy them and did they hold your interest?.JPG)
We had the opportunity to create, collaborate, and share many different things about our reading through the use of technology. Did you like using the technology? We used blogs, wikis, made movies, created comics, characters, and communicated with other classes. What was your favorite thing to do? If you could be in our reading group next year, what would you be the most excited about using?
Lastly, what was your over all opinion of your 5th grade OSCAR class? What do you wish could have been different? What would you keep the same for next year?

During the year I liked the technology we have used and i liked the books we have read. My book we read was the lightning theif it made me read the series to it because it waas really interesting.I liked it when you showed us photostory because it was easier to do my book report.
I did like the novels except for coriline,it was a good book but the end ruined it for me(it all being a dream).I LOVED the read alouds we did they deffenetly kept my intrest!I do like using technology. it kept my intrest(once again) My favorite thing to do was,... I really liked everything. If I were to be in this class next year I would be most excited about being able to use the laptops alot.y allover opinion would be, it was great i wish that i wouldnt have to leave

i liked all the read alouds and tecnology and all the stuff we did and i like the voki the we did that was fun. i would keep all of ikt next year
My thoughts of fifth grade reading are...
I really liked reding this year because onstead of doing all work by hand we got to use technology like clickers and the laptops.
I did like some of the novels but however there was one I didnt like it was Swan Sister because some of the storys in it were very confusing and hard to follow.
I really liked our read aloud because I enjoy all the books we read like Jumping The Sratch because it was easy to understand and it was a good topic because its something that could really happen to someone.
It has been a good year of Oscar, and I think it has been good. Some of the books we read I liked, take Chaseing Vermeer for example, I've been looking for a good mystery series and you introdused me to one. Others were boring, like Coraline. I liked useing the tecnology. It has been fun, and educated me for what I can do at home, and that sort of stuff. My grandma said that I was fast on a computer even!I liked the vokis best. I would keep it the same because even though some of them were boring to me, it wasen't boring to others, and at least one book meet someones intrets.
I liked some of the novels, but some like chasing vermeer i did not really like.I loved the read alouds all of them so far.I liked when we did book reports and we could do pod casts i loved those.i also loved the comics because you could use creativity with your charactersand use it with facts and opinion.i would be most excited about learning more technology stuff like new websites.i absolutly loved oscar.nothing should be diffrent.i would keep everything the same.
I liked some of the novles we read but some of them I diden't. I think they should skip chasing vermeer.I thought all of the read alouds were good And I liked the lightning theif the most. I liked to use technology in the classroom on the laptops and the clickers.I liked to make the characters on the voci the most. I would be most exited about getting to use all of the new technology that the school is getting.I liked Oscar this year because it was fun and exiting. I wish we could of done more novels and read alouds. What I would keep the same is all of the use of technology and games. It was a good year in Oscar!!!!
I am ready for middle school. I liked all of the novels that we read and I don't think you should skip any books because they were all good. Yes I enjoyed them and they did hold my intrest. I thuoght that it was very fun getting to use technology. I think the funnest thing we did was when we made comic characters. I would be most excited about getting to use technology. I think it was the funnest reading group I have ever been in. I wish we could have done less novel studys. I would keep the litural circle the same, the novels, and all of the technology activitys the same to.
I had a ton of fun this year, oscar has always been one of my favorite sujects.I loved the novels we did, I like it a lot better than the reading books.I loved the read aloud books, but the Lightning Theif was my favorite by far!I think you can't skip the Westing Game/Chasing Vermeer novel study.I have to say I really didn't like technology much but this year made it fun!I sure will miss Heusner Elementry but am excited to be starting a new year at Lakewood Middle school!I had a lot of fun at Heusner and I hope others will like it as much as I did.
I liked pretty much everything especally the amount of technology we used.the read-alouds were all awesome!!!!!!!It was awesome getting to learn how to do alot of cool stuff on the laptops which were cool in and of themselves!!!!The best novel we read was the westing game and gregor the overlander.Gregor was so good I just went and read the whole series.the westing game was just so interesting it made me want to read ahead but somehow I didn't.all in all this has been a really great year in OSCAR.Mr. Boyer keep the years like this in OSCAR.the last thing I will say is that voki is really awesome.Thanks Mr. Boyer for teaching us all of thi cool stuff.
i liked all the books. i liked the read alouds. i liked the book reports and the invention convention.
you know i really liked all the novels we did this year and i don't think you should skip any of them. and yes they really did hold my intrest i might have to read some of them again like savvy,savvy was awesome i loved it,it was such a good book i had a good time reading that book.i also liked the book the lightning theif it was fuuny.i might have to read it again to get the full picture of it.i love the author rick riordanhe writes good books!i cannot wait til' middle school and the city tonight! but i will miss all my teachers. like mr.boyer Mr.Rorabaugh Mrs.reedy and last but not least Ms.S! and all my specails teachers especially Mrs.mahany my art teacher bcause i love art and mrs.mahany is awesome!!!
